*Mid-day. Vance Desmond walks down the semi-busy streets of Lawrence, Kansas. College students litter the walkways. In mask and full gear, Vance struts along, ignoring the strange looks from frat guys and sorority sluts. As he turns a corner, a familiar face catches a glimpse of him. The disheveled woman jumps from her place and gives chase to the silent enigma.*
???: Des!? Des, is that you!?
*Vance stops and turns to face the woman. It’s former porn star and WERW interviewer Veronica. What this woman is doing in Lawrence, Kansas is beyond Vance, but she soon answers his apparent questions.*
Veronica: What are you doing here!? Does WERW have a show?
*Vance just nods. Obviously, he can’t tell her that WERW doesn’t exist anymore. He doesn’t speak, after all.*
Veronica: That’s great! I never expected to see any of you again. I couldn’t believe it when I got fired. I thought I’d have a job for life after all the crap I used to do for that damned William Penndragon. I should’ve known better than to get involved with the talent.
*Surely she was referring to Mr.Pope. While she dated Vance, she was at the top of the company.*
Veronica: Pope really ruined my career, didn’t he? Oh, look what I’m saying. You know all about that.
*Vance pushes past Veronica and continues walking down the street. She turns and gives chase again, catching up to him and jumping back in his face.*
Veronica: No no no. That’s not what I meant. I just meant that you know what a manipulative bastard he can be. I wasn’t trying to be negative.
*Vancestands silent.*
Veronica: Enough about me, though. How have you been?
*Still, vabce doesn’t answer. He just breathes heavily and stares.*
Veronica: Are you back to doing the silent thing? Last I knew, you were out from under that mask and using your real name. Victor, is it? Would you rather I call you Victor or Vance?
*Again, the silent assassin doesn’t answer.*
Veronica: Well, I’ll just call you Vance. That was always more comfortable for me, anyway. V, it’s so good to see you!
*Veronica throws her arms around Vance, squeezing him with a bit of a bear hug. He doesn’t hug her back, still standing silent and looking into the distance. She pulls away and looks him in the eyes.*
Veronica: What’s the matter? Don’t want to relight an old flame?
*Vance shakes his head. Apparently, he’s not interested in the woman who once broke his heart.*
Veronica: Really? Somehow, I doubt that.
*Vance stands silent.*
Veronica: Well, how about this?
*Veronica begins to attempto give him a kiss. He catches her hand, though, and pushes her hans down. He pushes her away, then shakes his finger in her face, letting her know that pulling the mask off is not an option.*
Veronica: So you ARE back to that, huh? I always thought that was sexy. But there are other things I can do for you.
*Veronica takes a step back and lifts her shirt, exposing her breasts to Vance. He doesn’t make a move, but several of the male college students start whooping and hollering. One even reaches out and gives her a little pinch on the tit. She pulls her shirt back down and looks at Talon again.*
Veronica: Nothing? Not even a smile?
*Vance shakes his head. He’s definitely not interested.*
Veronica: You know what? That’s fine. I didn’t want anything to do with you, anyway. I was just hoping you could get my job back for me.
*Vance shrugs his shoulders. How would he do anything to get her job back?*
Veronica: Let me break it down for you. Ever since I got fired from WERW, I haven’t been able to get a job. Apparently people don’t want to hire a high school dropout who did porn for several years. I guess it makes them look bad or something. Anyway, the only way I’ve been able to make money is to go back to the way I used to make money.
*The look on his face , it’s obvious that Vance interest has just gone up a bit.*
Veronica: So here’s the deal. I’ve got to do what I can to get by. You know me. You know I’m clean. You know I’m good. How’s about you let me take you in this alley back here. I’ll suck your dick…whatever. You pay me for it. How’s that sound?
*Vance is silent for a few moments before nodding his head.*

*She grabs his hand and pulls him into an alley as the camera shuts off.*
